A Japanese scalp treatment, often referred to as a head spa, is a holistic approach to hair care that merges traditional Japanese treatment techniques with contemporary therapeutic methods. This treatment includes a thorough cleansing and detoxification of the scalp, acupressure-stimulating massage movements, and the application of nourishing techniques and scrubs to encourage hair growth.

At Soothe, you will experience hand and forearm massage, steam therapy for the face and scalp, vibrational therapy for blood circulation and tension release, gentle scalp exfoliation using a brushing tool, cleansing shampoo and conditioner, and scalp massage. We use high-quality products from the salon quality line Surface, but feel free to bring your preferred products to your appointment, if you so desire.

Please let your provider know at the time of service if you would like to see the ingredient list of any product being used before starting your appointment.  Also, please let your service provider know during your appointment of any discomfort you many experience with the heat of the table or water during your service so that adjustments may be made.

A hair dryer is available upon request to be used at the conclusion of each appointment.

Please note, this service is not recommended for those with hair extensions, or for those who've received a color treatment 48 hours prior to service.

 

A 90 min appointment includes an analysis of the scalp with a magnifying machine so that you may see before and after results of your scalp condition.
